September 11-13: (99-G45-00036, 09/07/99) As Time Goes By. Did you know that As Time Goes By and How High the Moon entered the American musical scene on Broadway? They did, along with Body and Soul and many other permanent standards. This week Broadway Revisited salutes an hour's worth of these evergreens.
September 18-20: (99-G45-00037, 09/14/99) ‘Tis Autumn. Autumn comes around again this weekend, and Broadway Revisited notes the event with seasonal songs. Most of the songs are about September, but the fall quarter includes November and December, so there's a nod to them, too. Performers include Bolcom & Morris, Walter Huston, and the original cast of Second City.

He only had one Broadway show, and it flopped, but he wrote some of the country's best songs, many for the movies. December 3-6: (99-G45-00048, 11/30/99) She Loves Me. Fiddler on the Roof was not the first time Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick visited eastern Europe. The year before, they had written She Loves Me, based on a Hungarian play, Parfumerie, by Miklos Laszlo, about the romantic aspirations of workers in a Budapest perfume shop in the nineteen thirties.
