This will help me in terms of working with japanese students on projects. I also find the difference between japanese and american work enthic intersting.

In Japan the institution of the salary man is very different from our idea of the businessman or the entrepreneur. The Japanese business philosophy is geared a lot more towards group work. They believe in completing tasks not necessarily as efficiently as possible but with the cooperation and satisfaction of the entire group. Each person in the group is given a task for which they are responsible, and will work single mindedly to complete that task. However, once their task is complete they show their support of their colleges by staying by them until they finish. After working long 9 hour days and almost always working multiple overtime hours salary men will usually go out drinking with their colleges and can relax and take solace from pressures of their jobs. Because of this system of support and group mentality strong ties are often formed between colleges at work. This differs greatly from the American split of public and private life, the idea of keeping work and home separate. It allows Japanese salary men to really get to know the people they work with and create meaningful connections with basis in more than just a common workplace.

I chose to write about anime here becuase it is what first got me interested in japan, and into japanese.

アニメは日本のプロドクトです。アニメは unique to japanです。千と千博とかみかくしんと風の谷のナウシカともののけ姫は有めのアニメです。アニメは四方に世界でしてるになっています。

Anime is both an art form and a form of entertainment stemming from Japan. Know around the world for its character’s overly large eyes, anime genres can range from romance, to action, to horror and everything in between. Anime is rapidly developing its own subculture both in Japan and America, and is fast going global. Part of the reason why it is so popular as an art is because it provides a greater range for creativity than movies, as it has none of the physical constraints. Don’t think that just because anime is cartoons that it is childish as a cultural element, sure there are shows like Pokemon and Doremon, but there are also pieces like spirited away, which gained fame here in America on the big screen. Although there are many people who think anime is childish and annoying it has gained a place in Japanese culture and is branching out to the rest of the world.
