Content and Goals: This course continues our study from Calculus I. In this course we will study integration and series, including power series and specifically, Taylor series. This corresponds to Chapters 5, 6, and 8 in our text. We'll spend roughly three weeks on each chapter.
Of course, one main goal of this study is mastery of the content. But this is not the only goal for this course (or most any course....). We'll practice thinking critically and logically about new ideas, formulating and asking questions, and integrating knowledge.

Differentiation Mastery |
A virtually unlimited opportunity to display mastery of differentiation! The only possible scores are 100%, corresponding to mastery, and 0%. How does this work? You'll PRINT OFF an exam, DO IT WITHOUT help (no book, no notes, no calculator, no friends). DISCUSS it with me. If it's perfect, you're done; if it's not perfect, you'll print off a NEW EXAM, and repeat the process. Must be complete by Wednesday, 5pm, Week 2 | 5% |
| Homework | Problems and reading will
be assigned every
class period. Typically, you'll be assigned reading and some warm up problems on day n-1 as well as some problems which will be turned in on day n+1. The warm up problems will form the basis of our class on day n, so come prepared to class! The turn in problems will be collected in class. While no late hw will be accepted, the two lowest homework grades will be dropped. | 5% warm ups 25% turn ins |

| Midterm Exams | There will be two exams during
the quarter:
one on Monday of Week 5, and one onWednesday of Week 8. The exams will NOT be like hw problems, but WILL resemble problems on a review sheet which will be distributed in class. | 15% each |
